2020 Annual Review

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

Meli Music will be known as Harmonic Changes starting TOMORROW! However, we couldn't move forward into the new year without reflecting on the year that has passed. Take a look at this year's year in review.

Clinical Internship and Practicum Opportunities

We had the privilege of welcoming Music Therapy Interns, Becca Levy and Andrew Garcia, who completed their clinical training requirement, serving clients of all ages and needs through Telehealth. Additionally, six music therapy students from Berklee College of Music, completed their fall semester practicum with opportunities to support our partner,

Music Mends Minds through online musical support groups.

Expansion to online services

Our team was no exception to the many companies experiencing new ways of connecting to their clients. This year, we expanded our services nation-wide through telehealth platforms, providing synchronous music therapy services directly to clients' homes and facilities and developed a growing library of video resources to support our families and therapist community wherever they are.

Check out our videos from this past year!

NEW contracts across the country

This year we had the privilege of working with new partners, reaching clients across the country:

Music Mends Minds, a global nonprofit organization serving individuals diagnosed with neurodegenerative disorders through music support groups

Sparks for Success!, a nonprofit organization serving children affected by parental incarceration and other similar traumas through music lessons and music therapy

Elmhurst Extended Care Center, a care facility providing memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services to older adults

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, a national organization supporting individuals with mood disorders through weekly support groups.

Growth in our Team

Our team more than doubled in size this year as we welcomed five new staff to the team and expanding the Chicago-based team to three music therapists.

A new look for the new year!

This year we rolled out a new look, and we are so excited for our vision of offering quality music therapy services and expanding services to include other creative arts therapies and allied health services in the future.

We can't wait to see what's in store for us in the new year!

We are so grateful for your support for Meli Music, and look forward to continuing our online presence and relationship in the new year as Harmonic Changes!
