Payton Cole, MT-BC

Board-Certified Music Therapist #18847

Payton Cole, MT-BC, NMT is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She received her Bachelor of Music in
Music Therapy and Horn Performance from Baldwin Wallace University and completed her Music
Therapy Internship at the Institute for Therapy through the Arts (ITA) in Evanston, Illinois.


Payton has clinical experience supporting a diverse range of individuals including children and adults
with varying developmental and intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, mental illnesses, and
neurological disorders, and while primarily a hornist, she loves incorporating a variety of instruments in
her work such as voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele.


Payton is passionate about providing person-centered care that acknowledges and uplifts the diverse
cultures and experiences of each individual. She holds the belief that music can be a life-enriching
medium for individual and communal wellbeing, liberation, and discovery, and she strives to create
spaces for growth that are rooted in acceptance, empathy, and joy.
