Lani is a Board-Certified Music Therapist in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, California. Lani earned her Master of Arts in Music Therapy from NYU and established herself as a licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York City prior to relocating back to Southern California, where she was born and raised.

Lani completed her graduate internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. There she discovered the importance of enhancing quality of life for people undergoing cancer treatment and realized her calling toward end of life care. Lani has devoted a significant portion of her career to providing bedside music therapy in hospice care for people of all ages and diagnoses. She has had the privilege of providing music therapy services for a broad spectrum of client populations: children with autism, medical and developmental disorders; and adults with psychiatric/mental health disorders, cognitive/memory impairment, and medical diagnoses.
Lani’s primary instrument is voice. She specializes in intuitive vocal improvisation techniques balanced with evidence-based supportive music therapy interventions. She provides therapeutic accompaniment with guitar, piano, and various percussion instruments.
Lani thrives on the inner strength and diversity of the individuals and families she is fortunate to work with. She looks forward to sharing new experiences with Harmonic Changes clients of all ages and needs.
